Just like many couples and industry professionals, we started the year with so much excitement for 2020 wedding season. 2 months into the year, COVID-19 pandemic hit and we were quite frankly, dazed, confused and hopeful that in a few weeks, we would have some answers and can clear up any concerns couples had regarding their spring/summer/fall wedding celebrations.
Months and many postponements later…we can’t hold large events still (safety first) so couples are adjusting their expectations and are warming up to resuming planning once again. Many couples have decided to postponing their big day for 2021, while other couples are opting for a small and intimate ceremony and reception with hopes to celebrate BIG at a much later date in 2021.
In Illinois, phase 4 includes events (including weddings) hosting less than 50 total guests. We don’t anticipate going into phase five and hosting more than 50 guests until 2021.
Now that we have all the facts on the number of guests allowed at events for now, let’s get tips on how you can have a small wedding of 50 guests or less and still orchestrate an absolutely stunning celebration with all the bells and whistles.
While some couples had initially planned to have a large wedding, it is important to remember that a wedding celebration does not have to have 250+ guests to be memorable. Smaller weddings are intimate and allows you to tailor the overall wedding experience.
